We already saw a leaked image of the 2009 Ford Ka earlier this week and Ford has now officially released the more details and images of the mini car. The 2009 Ford Ka will be built alongside the Fiat 500, which it shares its platform with, at Fiat”s Tychy, Poland plant.

Power comes from a base 1.25 liter gasoline engine producing 69 horsepower and a 1.4liter producing 100 horsepower. A 1.4 liter diesel will also be available producing 75-hp and returning a fuel-economy of more than 40mpg.

Ford will hold the world premiere of the the 2009 Ford Ka at the 2008 Paris Motor Show with sales to start October 2008. Pricing will be announced closer to launch date.
