Last week we brought you some updated news on the upcoming 2010 Acura NSX. We learned that the upcoming Nissan GT-R and Lexus LF-A rival will produce 600-hp with a peak torque of 443 lb-ft mated to a rear-wheel-drive architecture with a 6-speed dual-clutch gearbox. We also learned that the NSX will lighter than the Nissan GT-R – a whole 550 pounds lighter.

But according to latest reports from Japan the 2010 Acura NSX will cost more than twice as much as the Nissan GT-R. According to InsideLine, Acura is expected to price the two-seater at $160,000 putting it in the Aston Martin V8 Vantage category.

All we know is, if the NSX will go past the $160,000 mark and look the way it does in these renderings, it better beat the Nissan GT-R’s and Corvette ZR1′s lap-time at the Nurburgring.

Please please let this just be another coupe for Acura & not the NSX.

For that price it better have some super duper luxury items in it … not just leather seats, navi & HIDs.

This car already sucks.. It should look like a super hero's ride, have huge wings, and contornitionist-like doors..

I think of the new Prelude when I see this car..

I thought the GTR Spec-V price was ridiculous but this is just ludicrous!!

“V8 Vantage Territory” isn't the Vantage priced in the low 100K, this is more between Turbo and GT2 territory.

I have had had 3 Acura's. The Boss's over at HONDA have been drinking way to much sacci. $160,000 get real. A turbo Carerra is 30K less and will smoke this no evolvized Japanese Tech Job. May be the Boss's at HONDA should switch to another intoxicant cause this one aint working. Prediction……Failure
