Our friends at Fast Lane Daily , caught the 2009 Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG Black Series hanging out with the next-generation Pagani Zonda in Colorado while both cars were undergoing high-altitude testing. Why are the two hanging out together? Well, speculation has it that the next-generation Pagani Zonda F will share the same engine as the new SL 65 AMG Black Series.

Previous reports said that the current AMG supplied 7.3 liter V12 that produces 641-hp was going to be replaced by the 680-hp 5.4 liter V8 from the McLaren SLR .

The 2009 Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG Black Series is powered by a 6.0L twin-turbo V12 that produces a total 661-hp with a peak torque of 738 lb-ft. That should be enough to give the new Pagani Zonda the ability to go from 0-60 in the low 3 second range and a top speed of more than 200mph.
