While most of the ’super hybrid car’ attention is usually on Tesla and Fisker most of the time, this week UK’s Lightning Car Company is stealing the spotlight with the world debut of their Lightning GT EV , an all-electric supercar that is powered by a new battery technology called NanoSafe.

The 700 horsepower Lightning GT EV is capable of a 250 mile range with only 10 minutes of charging and a 0-60mph time of 4 seconds. Top speed comes in at 130mph. Not bad at all. The Lightning GT EV will be available with AC, navigation, full leather interior and a mobile charging system. Pricing is not yet available but Lightning Car Company is taking £15,000 deposits.
