While everyone thinks that Acura is not up-to-par in the luxury or performance game, the upcoming next-generation NSX will change all that for the Honda owned brand. According to AutoExpress , along with the Nissan GT-R and the Lexus LF-A, the 2010 Acura NSX will take on the Aston Martin V8 Vantage, Maserati GranTurismo and the Jaguar XKR.

So far we’ve heard rumors that the 5.5L V10 powering the next-generation NSX will produce 500-hp. According to a new report the 5.5L V10 is expected to produce 600-hp with a peak torque of 443 lb-ft. It will be mated to a rear-wheel-drive architecture and a 6-speed dual-clutch gearbox.

For everyone that judges a performance car based on Nurburgring lap times, the 2010 Acura NSX prototype has lapped the famous German track at a record time of 7:37.

AutoExpress also says that the next NSX will weigh 1,500kg – 250kg less than the Nissan GT-R . Pricing is expected to be £100,000 ($283,000).

Hmmm… $280,000 for a car that may been more powerful and lighter than the GT-R, BUT doesn't lap the Nurburg Ring any faster doesn't seem cool..

Have we forgotten about the ZR-1 deal from Corvette??

Most cars cost roughly the same number of $$$ in the U.S. as they do pounds in the UK. But if it looks like that picture it won't matter, I don't think many people are going to spend $100k for a Tiburon, let alone $280k.

Acura needs to hurry up bc all the rumors are getting tiring.

$283,000 for a Honda…You gotta be joking, I thought Lexus was being ridiculous with the pricing for the LF-A but this is just ridiculous.

maybe they should have put that power plenium grill on this.

I do not know what kind of dope Honda is smoking, but this car will not do well in the marketplace. It is ridiculously over priced, and offers nothing unique, really, especially compared to cars priced over $100,000.
The NSX appeal was that it was a car priced under $100,000 that had the look and performance (at the time) of cars priced over $200,000.
It now has the look of a Camaro and although it will be a solid performer, it is surely no great deal.

They will be a rare sight at that price.

280k is too much. They should cap Japanese car prices at like 100k, not to mention this is what it should have been for the LF-A.

im guessing its going to be in the lower 100's not 280k. FO SHO
