		<description>It kind of makes since.  The most recent plan for Mercury was to be a more European alternative.  With Ford bringing European cars, crossovers, etc. into the Ford brand, Mercury has lost its purpose.</description>

		<description>That&#039;s a shame.  My parents had  a Cougar &amp; that was not a bad car.  If Ford would only differentiate it more from Ford &amp; Lincoln ... I think that it could succeed with a better brand identity other than the forgotten middle child (Jan Brady).</description>

Mercury always sold cars better than the truck heavy line up it was given when that is all Ford cared about.  So does this mean that Lincoln dealers will not have anything to sell besides 2 cars and SUV&#039;s no one wants?</description>
