Strong residual value allows for attractive Hyundai Genesis lease deals

While it may the most expensive lease a Hyundai car has ever seen, the Korean automaker is offering a very attractive deal for customers looking to get its new $33,000 flagship luxury sedan – the Genesis. Buyers can now lease the new V6 model for just $399 a month for 24 months with $2,199 due at signing.

Hyundai is expected 80 percent of Genesis sales to come from the V6 model that produces 290-hp. According to John Krafcik, the deal is the first aggressive lease program offered by the company. He said that Hyundai is expecting lease to represent almost half of Genesis sales. Automotive Lease Guide says that the 2009 Hyundai Genesis has a strong residual value. It estimates that it will be worth 50 percent of its original sticker after 36 months.

The 2009 Hyundai Genesis with the 375-hp V8 starts at $38,000.
