Jaguar is celebrating 60 years of the XK nameplate at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this weekend. However, the now Tata Motors owned company decided to let a new cat out of the cage today giving us a first official look at the new Jaguar XF-R .
Jaguar had planned to bring the XF-R alongside the XKR-S this morning during the Supercar Run but couldn’t find the man with the keys. Jaguar’s vehicle development head Mike Cross took the car out later on during the day and was able to fit in two laps.
The Jaguar XF-R is expected to be powered by the same 4.2 liter supercharged V8 engine as the current range-topping XF but has been re-calibrated to produce up to 500-hp.
