The 9ff Fahrzeugtechnik GmbH has decided to produce a limited edition of the GT9 at its location in Dortmund. Based on the Porsche 911 GT3 the GT9 gets a modified version of the 3.6L 6-cylinder twin-turbo engine that produces 973-hp and 711 lb-ft of torque.

0-62mph for the 9ff GT29 comes in at 3.4 seconds while 0-124mph takes 8.2 seconds. Now 9ff claims that the GT29 hits a top speed of 254mph making it the fastest road-going car. While the 9ff does join the 400km/h (248mph) club and may be faster than the Bugatti Veyron, 9ff seems to forget that the SSC Ultimate Aero hits top speed of 257mph.

9ff Fahrzeugtechnik GmbH plans to build 20 units of the GT9 for a price tag of 498,000 euros ($786,441).

Well, actually, it's a little FASTER then the Bugatti (but it's 3 miles slower then the SSC); that's why 9ff advertised it at the fastest car in the world (while SCC was still under ratification with GuinnessWR).

Even if it is only a couple of mph slower than the Bugatti they has to be pissed that Porsche can accomplish this with 10 less cylinders and a fraction of the developement cost.
It is like saying "9ff you!"
