Beyond discussing the Lexus designed 2009 BMW 7-Series (sarcasm), in yesterday’s episode, Garage419 discussed the Nurburgring lap times of the Nissan GT-R (7:29) and the 2009 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 (7:26). Matt Farah says that his sources claim both times have been cheated on claiming the engineers ran race tunes and race gas during their lap runs.

Nurburgring lap times have seem to become the benchmark high-performance cars. Are these times a good measure of performance? If so, how must the auto industry standardize those times? Check out the new episode of Garage419 and let us know what you think about the matter at hand.
