New Chevrolet Cruze to debut at the Paris Motor Show

Chevrolet announced today that it will unveil a new compact car with a new name and a new design called the Cruze at the Paris Motor Show in October. The Chevrolet Cruze was designed and engineered by Chevrolet’s global team.

Production of the 4.6 meter Cruze with what Chevrolet says offers ‘ample interior space,’ will take place in multiple locations around the world. The Cruze has capacity for five-passengers and will go head-to-head with the likes of the Honda Fit.

Chevrolet said that the Cruze features Chevrolet’s new global design language that will continue to be the element for features vehicles combined with high-safety standards and solid build quality.

The new Chevrolet Cruze will be available in European markets starting spring 2009. No word if it will make it the U.S., but with the way gas-prices are going – we wouldn’t doubt it for a second.
