Today is the perfect day to talk about Gordon Murray, the creator of the F1 supercar at McLaren, who launched his own company last year on July 4th. More details have surfaced, along with a detailed sketch, of Murray’s company’s first new model – a city car called the Type 25.

According to AutoCar, the T25 will be a lightweight, innovative eco-friendly car with CO2 emissions less than half the UK average. The car is expected to score a Euro NCAP rating of at least 4 stars.

The car is said to be smaller than the Smart car (that’s really small) and is expected to enter production within 3 years with plans to produce 100,000 units annually. Estimated price is expected to be around £5000 ($7,849).

No technical specs have been available as of yet, but Murray said that the design will be along the lines of an MPV with six different possibly variants.
