So we’re pretty excited to see what Pininfarina has worked up with this ‘Hyperion’ that they’ve based on the Rolls-Royce Drophead Phantom Coupe. However, the Pebble Beach Concour isn’t until August and we really can’t hold out that long. So after some hunting, we’ve found you some information on this exclusive car that Pininfarina built for some super-rich man that is allowing them to display it at Pebble Beach (that lucky…).
First off, the pre-war inspired car will get a completely new body with ’Hyperion’ badging, which means ‘the God of the sun.’ Wonderful – so what about the power?
According to AutoExpress, the mechanicals of the car will be left completely untouched. That means it’ll be powered by the same 6.75L V12 from the Drophead Coupe pushing 450-hp. 0-60 is still expected to come in under 6 seconds, even with all the body changes. Estimated price tag is £1million (almost $2 million USD).
