The guys at Automotive Traveler were out testing the Subaru Impreza WRX STI in California Mojave Desert and happened to catch the 2009 Acura TL undergoing some hot-weather testing. Design wise the 2009 Acura TL will get the front fascia from the 2009 Acura TSX, but we have no idea what happened to the back of the car; it looks something like the Toyota Solara.

Power for the base 2009 Acura TL comes from the 3.5L from the current TL Type-S. The new 2009 TL Type-S will get a new 3.7L that produces 300-hp along with Acura’s Super Handling All-Wheel Drive™ (SH-AWD™).

We expect the 2009 Acura TL to make its debut sometime around the LA Auto Show in November.

It doesnt look too bad. The front grill might look a little weird but we i need to see it without that skirt on. The worst part is the two dorky looking guys in pic 2...they make the entire car look dorky!!! lol (look at em)

I think Honda should spend some cash researching for some real tallented designers. And definitly a new grill will help, this thing is killing me.
Maybe if the grill had come down to the bumper like Audi or the way Mitsu did with the new Evo would help a lot.

I like the strong shoulder line that runs down the side. I don't think I have seen a trunk lid that dips in the center since the 59' Chevy. I think the rear-end looks more Saturn Aura than Toyota Solara. Of couse the milk mustache grill is something I could do without.
By the way guys the title says RL instead of TL.

i think acura (honda) spent way too much time designing it (only making it worse).
