FoMoCo announced today it will cut one shift of the F-150 production indefinitely. While cutting the second shift at its Kansas City assembly plant, it will add a third shift to the Ford Escape, Mercury Mariner and Mazda Tribute production.

The Kansas City plant just came off a two-week shutdown of the Ford F-150 and is currently scheduled to produce the 2008 F-150 on two shifts for the next five weeks.
