Earlier this morning we told you that Honda’s CEO has demanded his engineers and designers to make sure that the Acura NSX prototype hitting up Nurburgring must beat the Nissan GT-R 7:29 lap time.

According to CarTribe, a spy has clocked the NSX at an unofficial lap time of 7:37, down 8 seconds from the GT-R. We believe the V10 550-hp NSX is capable of something much faster than that, so we’ll have to wait for some official word from Honda.

In the mean time, let’s not forget, the Nissan GT-R V-Spec is also hitting up the Nurburgring to report its time that is expected to be better than the GT-Rs.

The NSX' 7:37 Lap time was in TRAFFIC on the track.... take all the others off the track and the NSX has the upperhand already! Just wait till testing is done....
  • its look like cow car

It still looks very GT (Aston like) instead of exotic (Ferrari like).

hopefully it doesnt cost very Astin or Ferrari like

This post is very biased, what they didn't say here (and it's in the original report) is that this Acura prototype did 7:37 WITH TRAFFIC, meaning there were other cars being tested on the 'ring.

Hopefully but Acuras tend to be plain on the outside but spectacular on the inside IMHO.

Still hoping that this is sub-NSX vehicle ...

It looks kinda plain... but im sure (65%) honda will make it look good once its final design comes around
