Lookin’ good. Spies have caught the prototype for the next-generation Acura NSX and we have to say, Honda has come a very long way from that fugly looking Advanced Sports Car Concept. Now if you closely, the streets in the background surround the Nurburgring, so we expect some more spy shots and a video of the NSX taking laps around the famous German track later this week.

We reported back in April, that work on the NSX has been completed – meaning Acura has a final design, final architecture and the final powertrain. Speaking of powertrain, the next-generation Acura NSX is expected to carry a 4.5 liter V10 engine that produces around 550-hp, enough to take on the Nissan GT-R.

Head over to AutoBlog for the full shots.

I like the look, but I have to say that I agree. This thing looks more like a GT instead of an exotic. I was under the impression the NSX would stay closer to its exotic roots.

It is way too far in development to be an NSX me thinks. Now a coupe Tl (CL) or some other car that debuts soon ....

Any one can tell this thing is not the next NSX.
It is just a luxury GT spor coupe from Acura, not a NSX. Look at the tail lights, just like those on the updated RL. The NSX is a stand alone design.

I hope they stay away from that prototype concept nsx! that thing was fugly! And i'd preffer a 6 cylander and keep it around the same size as the original.

    So...they dropped a V10 into a CR-X and called it a day?
