Alfa Romeo confirms SUV for early 2010

Alfa Romeo is preparing itself to become a global player. The automaker will make its return to the U.S. in the next couple of months. Being sold through Maserati dealerships, Alfa will initially launch in the U.S. with the 159, Brera, Brera Spider and the Alfa image enhancer, 8C Competizione.

Well Alfa Romeo is working on yet another model that will give it a stronger lineup to compete on a more global level. Alfa’s CEO, Luca de Meo, has confirmed with Auto Motor und Sport that the Italian company is indeed working on an SUV.

Based on the 2003 Kamal Concept (pictured above), the Alfa SUV is internally known as the CX-over which leads us to believe it will be pitched as a crossover for all the ladies if it ever makes it to the stateside (which it most likely will).

Honestly we don’t care about anything as long as we get the Alfa Romeo Mi.To on the stateside. Make it happen Italy.
