Porsche: No baby Cayenne and no two door Panamera

No matter how many times Porsche denies the rumor of baby Cayenne SUV, spy shots and rumors just seem to keep popping up. Well, the latest word from Porsche marketing executive, Klaus Berning, states that Porsche has discussed no plans for a Cayenne SUV based on the Audi Q5. He went as far as to say that a “small SUV is certainly not the way to go for Porsche.”

Berning said that the company is fully focused on the Panamera as of right now. He killed rumors of a 2-door Panamera, a successor to the Porsche 928, and said that Porsche has no plans for a fifth-line and concentrated on the market launch of the Panamera.

Berning said that Porsche expects to sell 20,000 units of the Panamera in its first full fiscal year with overall brand sales reaching 100,000 per year. The automaker is also looking to employ another 2,100 workers as it looks into expanding in China and Russia.
