Before the 2010 Mercedes-Benz GLK was revealed and made ready to hit your perfectly paved roads, it wonder extreme testing in the sub-zero temperatures in Sweden to burning heat under Africa’s relentless sun.

Check out this video from Mercedes-Benz that shows us how much work went into eliminating any potential weaknesses for its new compact SUV.

The 2010 Mercedes-Benz GLK will arrive on U.S. roads in January 2009. Only one version will be offered at launch with power coming from a 3.5L V6 engine that produces 268-hp.
