GM settles Lansing strike, production of Lambda crossovers to resume

GM has finally reached a deal with UAW Local 602, which represents 3,300 workers at the Delta Township assembly plant that has been on strike since April 17. The deal was reached yesterday, however workers will not resume work until the agreement is ratified.
The plant is well known for producing GM’S hot Lambda platform based crossovers including the Buick Enclave, GMC Acadia and the Saturn Outlook.
GM’s Fairfax assembly plant, that makes the Chevrolet Malibu, in Kansas is still on strike. Talks between the local union and the General have kicked off since Wednesday and are making progress.
Don’t be surprised to see another GM and UAW article very soon.
