Before we even start; yes this is only for Japan and no, we will not see it in the U.S. Subaru today revealed a limited Legacy STI S402 special-edition model. Sales of the Legacy STI S402 will begin on June 27 later this summer and will be available in both touring and sedan variants.

The limited-edition model will be equipped with the 2.5 liter boxer engine with output at 282-hp. Power is transferred to the wheels via a six-speed manual transmission. The Legacy STIS402 also gets six-pot front and two-pot rear Brembo brakes for stopping power.

All that with the STI bodykit featuring a carbon lip front spoiler with 18-inch BBS alloy wheels will run you ¥5,491,500 for the wagon and ¥5,355,000 for the sedan.
