i love the gtr but i hope noone pays over msrp for one just to show auto companies how irresponsible it is for them to let dealers mark their products up to the point where the people that the car is actually marketed for can't even afford one.. this is so dumb and i hope noone pays over msrp for this car!! not that it isn't worth it, but its stupid to pay 20,000 more then what a car is worth!! if you wreck it, the day after you buy it, its still going to be worth less then 69,000$ so whats the point? i hope someone at nissan is reading this and i hope they realize that allowing dealers to make such a profit off of any car is crazy.. i know what nissan is really doing, they are trying to see how much people are willing to pay for one of their cars and if people will pay 90,000$ then why not "build" a 90,000$ car.. dealer markups are bad for car sales and bad especially bad for nissan, who has alot riding on this new gtr. after the initial oos and aahhs fade away they are going to see they might have a problem getting rid of 90,000$ 69,000$ cars

I won't pay over sticker for a car because I don't want to eat the crushing depreciation that these mark price adjustments cause. I also understand the dealers wanting to take advantage of market demand and get a premium for a car like this.

This kind of market adjustment isn’t limited to dealers. There will be private sellers that arranged for a MSRP sale and will try to flip the car for a premium. Are these guys any different than the dealers?

and this is why cars don't sell as expected in america... sure it will sell at first BUT they did it with the pt cruiser they are doing it with the mustang and i'm 100% sure they will do this with the upcomming challenger.. when will automotive companies realize that allowing dealerships to mark-up their already limited run of a car who's main selling point is its price, hurts them more then anything.. this is so dumb!! have you ever gone to a mitsubishi dealership lately and tried to buy and evo for msrp? i hope that more companies start to pick up on scion's no haggle pricing, then maybe the new gtr could be really considered "bang for your buck" $90,000 isn't cheap by any means for a car that should be retailing for $21,000 less.. this is bullcrap and i hope nissan will do something about it soon..

That's so dumb.....Hmmm, I guess if I can wait a year and not be one of those emotional buyers, I could probably save $21k and get it a MSRP.

point taken. they may be very different cars but when they are in the same price range you can't deny a comparison. However, if the dealer wasn't trying to take advantage of their customers and the car was closer to its MSRP then yes i agree that this car cannot be compared to the E 63.

stef, The GT-T is listed at 473hp but its been tested to put out over 500hp, I think it was somewhere around 518hp. And the 63 AMG and GT-R are very differ cars

if this nissan is going to be 90,000+ why no pay less than 10g and get a MB
E 63 AMG more horse power (507) and way more luxury.
