Pinning itself as a serious alternative to the Porsche Cayman, the new Artega GT will now be built in right-hand drive for the UK market. Artega has already started establishing a UK dealer structure.

There is nothing to not like about this car. Design comes from ex-Aston Martin design chief Henrik Fisker, responsible for the Aston Martin DB9, while engineering comes from ex-BMW engineering chief Karl-Heinz Kalbfell. The Artega GT is powered by a 3.6 liter FSI V6 engine that produces 300 horsepower, giving it the ability to do 0-62 mph in less than 5 seconds with a top speed of 167mph.

Production of the Artega GT will start this summer with two units a day. However the car will remain exclusive with a limited production run of 1,000 units a year. In a recent interview with AutoCar, Kalbfell admitted that the team is also working on a convertible version.
