2008 and 2009 Toyota models get a slight price increase

Toyota today announced its new MSRP for certain Toyota and Lexus models that will be effective mid-to-late May 2008. While the new 2008 Sequoia, 2008 Tacoma, 2009 Corolla, 2009 Matrix and the Lexus IS-F pricing will remain unchanged, other models will see a slight price increase.

The 2008 Yaris sedan and hatchback will get a price increase of $200 to $12,425 and $11,550 respectively. The Prius will get a bump of $400 to $21,500. The 2008 Camry Solara and Solara convertible will go for $20,180 and $27,440 respectively, while the 2008 Avalon will get an increase of $250 to $27,325. The new 2009 Camry will get a new base MSRP of $18,920 and the hybrid Camry will carry a $25,650 base price tag.

Toyota’s compact SUVs will also see a price bump. The 2008 RAV4 will get a new base MSRP of $21,500, while the FJ Cruiser will get an increase of $500 to $23,045. The new Toyota Highlander and Highlander hybrid will go for a new base MSRP of $28,415 and $34,200 respectively.

The big boys also get a price hike. The 2008 Toyota Land Cruiser will get a price increase of $900 to $64,100 while the Tundra will start at $22,390, an increase of $100. The 2008 Toyota Sienna will also get a $100 increase to $24,440.

The Lexus division will see a price increase across its whole lineup. The entry-level IS will get a $300 increase to $30,855 while the IS 250 automatic will go for $32,025. The IS 350 will go for $34,485 and $36,305.

The Lexus ES350 will get a $300 increase to $34,120 while the GS 350 rwd and the GS 460 awd will now cost you $44,550 and $46,500, respectively. The GS 450h hybrid model will increase by $900, to $55,800.

The Lexus flagship LS 460 will go up by $900 to $62,900 and $72,900 for the LS 460 L. The MSRP for the LS 600h L hybrid will increase to $104,900.

The fugly looking SC 430 will also go up by $900 to $66,355.

The RX 400h hybrid will see a $300 increase to $41,580 for the front-wheel-drive model while the all-wheel-drive will cost you $42,980 for the all-wheel-drive model. The 2009 RX 350 will have an MSRP of $37,700, while the RX 350 all-wheel drive will carry a base price of $39,100.

GX470 will now cost $47,315, while the LX 570 will go for $74,700.
