To protect and to serve has a whole different meaning for the Gaza Strip police. Israel’s move to cut the amount of fuel it provides the Gaza Strip has forced many of the locals to walk instead of driving their vehicles.

Serving the public, Hamas has asked the police to give people free rides to their destinations since the limited supply of fuel has basically dried up. The Palestinian fuel association went on strike in April to protest the limitation of fuel.
