So you think that Cadillac Escalate or Lincoln Navigator you have there is a ‘real’SUV? Take a look at this BMW X3 commercial that takes a shot at our domestic SUVs and tells us what really is riding under the skin of your gas-guzzling American icons.

    Ya, but I doubt that the X3 will tow 8,000 pounds and haul six or seven extra passengers. I could see it pointing fun at like a banal and simple Highlander–but not an SUV that’s in a different category to that of the X3.

    That’s like comparing a MINI to an S-Class and saying the MINI is better..

    I doubt that I could tow my boat with an X3.. lol..

    That is the point of this ad. Don’t compare it to the direct competition (even if price point is much higher for the X3). To do that would show shoppers that the X3 is not all that unique. I still have trouble understanding the attraction to this kind of vehicle. I see a wagon on stilts, nothing more.

    tow 8000lbs? unless that’s your livelyhood, who’d wanna drive & tow w/ gas @ $4 per? get w/ the program, in today’s world, it’s all about practicality. for some reason, people are hard up on BJ & the Bear rigs. they must have a thing for vehicles that have Laidlaw schoolbus silhouettes…

    i always tell my friends that a lincoln and a cadillac is just a ford or gmc with fancy interior and rims but they dont belive me ! way to go BMW
