While the rest of the automotive world is in panic, Fiat Group’s Ferrari and Maserati are kicking back and relaxing after reporting record results for the first quarter.
Surprisingly with the help of higher sales in the V12 model segment including the 612 Scaglietti and 599 GTB Fiorano, Ferrari deliveries increased 4 percent to 1,654 units. Revenue grew almost 20 percent. In 2007, Ferrari enjoyed its best record for revenues up 15.3 percent selling up to 6,488 cars. It hopes to pass that mark this year.
Sister company Maserati enjoyed increased deliveries of 21.3 percent to 2,234 with the help of its new Maserati GranTurismo. Revenue grew 15.6 percent. Last year, Maserati grew 33.7 percent selling a total of 7,496 cars.
