
Ford announced yesterday that the 9 millionth Mustang, a GT Convertible, has rolled of the line and is headed west to be delivered to a dealership in Iowa.
According to Ford, today, one of every two sports cars sold in America is a Ford Mustang. Introduced in 1964, the Mustang is also FoMoCo’s longest running nameplate. The car is also one of the most personalized vehicles of all time leading a $1 billion aftermarkets parts and accessories industry.
For 2009, Ford will introduce a Glass Roof option and a new Warriors in Pink Package. Both will be available this summer.
