Keating launches SKR in Britain, TKR on the way

If you remember early last month word started circulating that Keating will take the wraps off of its SKR and TKR supercars on April 23rd, St George’s Day. Well it’s April 23rd and AutoCar has the first look at what’s being called a Bugatti Veyron-chaser.

The SKR models are produced to be road legal with an entry level model powered by a Chevrolet V8 engine that produces 404-hp and 400 lb-ft of torque. Keating will also be offering a 500-hp version, a supercharged 530 version and a 650-hp option. Each unit will be built to suit an individual buyer’s needs and requirements.

The track-only TKR model is rumored to carry a twin-turbo charged unit producing up to 1,600-hp. It will be aiming for the top speed record sometime in the near future.

All SKR models are rear-wheel-drive and weigh just over 2,500 pounds. All are fitted with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
