Last week we told you about the Corvette ZR1 hitting up the Nurburgring for some high-speed laps. According to sources at Edmunds, engineers claim an unofficial lap time in the low 7:40s.

Refresher: Power comes from a LS9 supercharged 6.2L V8 engine which produces 620 horsepower and approximately 595 lb-ft. of torque.
