Video: MotorTrend takes the Nissan GT-R 0-60 in 3.2 seconds

The guys over at MotorTrend have had their chance to mess around and run tests on the new Nissan GT-R. Just about a week ago we told about one of their dyno tests which found that the 3850lb car produces at least 507-hp and 500 lb-ft of torque at 3,200 rpm.

MotorTrend also claims a 0-60 speed of 3.2 seconds which is just a bit faster than the 3.3 reported by CARandDRIVER.

Check out this three part video of their amazing review of the Nissan GT-R

it’s appearance isn’t very appealing to me but performance wise it sure is a monster. even smokes porsche gt2

Nah, the GT2′s 0-60 time is in the mid 2 second range, the GT-R can’t match that. Also, the GT2 is both much lighter and shares many of its parts with a cup racing car. I doubt the GT2 feels any pressure from the GT-R.

The GT2 is better than double the price of the GTR. Just like the Corvette ZR1, the GTR are amazingly low priced when considering the high level of performance. Why get a GT2 when a wealthy enthusiast can pay the dealer’s ransom for a GTR and still have money left over for ZR1?

Not sure where you came up with the mid 2 seconds 0 to 60 time for gt2.

    have a look http://www.porsche.com/usa/models/911/911-gt2/featuresandspecs/

i should also add that when AUTOCAR tested the gtr and gt2 on a test track the gtr narrowly edged it. so i doubt it “doesn’t feel any pressure”

It amazes me. BMW had the time, resources, and opportunity to do right and come up with something like the ’09 GT-R but they chose to wimp out with their pathetic performing new M3. Really sad! That said, I do love my ’04 M3 but will exchange it for a new GT-R.

I wish that they would post something about the GT-R Spec V..
