The very popular and compact Nissan Qashqai is getting a longer wheelbase and is being rebadged creatively as the Qashqai+2 in order to accommodate a total of 7. How has it grown? The wheelbase has been extended by 135mm while the overall length has been increased by 211mm along with the height by 38mm. All that makes room for a third row of seats that fold flat when needed to store extra cargo.
Other than that, everything is Qashqai. The Nissan Qashqai+2 will be offered in two petrol and two diesel models along with two and four-wheel-drive in three different trim and equipment levels. Power ranges from an entry level 1.5 liter diesel producing 115-hp, all the way to a petrol range-topper with a 2.0 liter producing 140-hp.
The Nissan Qashqai+2 will be revealed at the London Motor Show and will go on sale in Europe starting later this October.
