Lewis Hamilton walked away without a scratch after a high-speed crash during a practice session for the Bahrain Grand Prix earlier today. Hamilton lost control of his MP4-23 exiting turn seven, running into barriers at an estimated speed of 124mph.
Hamilton returned to his pit on the back of a recovery motorcycle, but the impact ended up causing major damage to the right side of his MP4-23.
Come on Lewis! Focus if you want that McLaren F1 LM after your win.
That wasn’t the only nail-biting incident that took place today during the practice run. Fernando Alonso also collided with Force India’s Adrian Sutil, causing the two to spin.
