Hyundai Genesis Coupe pricing to start under $26,000

Hyundai has no intentions to stop making headlines and turning heads at auto shows. Recently the Korean automaker surprised the industry with their new 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe, which it says will be a direct rival to the Infiniti G37 (or those that want G37 power for much cheaper).
When producing the Genesis Coupe, Hyundai had set its sights on the G37 as the benchmark. So how does it compare to the Infiniti G37? Besides the size and the looks, the Genesis Coupe is also up-to-par in the performance segment.
The Genesis Coupe will arrive as either a 4-cylinder turbo producing 223-hp on premium and 212-hp on regular fuel or as a 3.8 liter V6 churning out 306-hp on regular and 310-hp on premium. The Infiniti G37, on the other hand, runs on a 3.7 liter V6 producing 330-hp. Now with a 20-hp difference it may not be a direct competitor, but with rear-wheel-drive, the Genesis Coupe is definitely a bargain.
According to Hyundai sources, the 2010 Hyundai Genesis will be priced below the 300-hp Mustang GT, which stickers at about $26,000. So Hyundai has easily nailed its goal of offering a true G37 rival at a typical Korean Hyundai price.
