It's good Audi is scrubbing the hybrid and going diesel.

Hybrids are a phase, a marketing ploy. Though fuel efficient (on the highway), they are tremendously inefficient machines, carrying unnecessary weight and creating a huge battery disposal problem.
Weren't these supposed to be "greener" vehicles?

Having spend several years tuning diesel engines, diesel is the new green (at least until we are done with fossil fuels altogether).
It burns clean, makes great torque, provides great in town AND highway mileage, has longer engine life, runs on a much leaner air/fuel ratio than gasoline, and does not create the disposal problem of a hybrid.

Go diesel!

Bring me my A4 / A6 3.0 TDI!
