So we’ve been waiting on the official press release from Mercedes-Benz on the U.S. pricing for the new C63 AMG but haven’t heard anything as of yet. We even begged them to tell us at the 2008 New York Auto Show, but the models at the stand knew nothing besides the fact it’s coming out this summer.
According to a report about some AMG road show coming to 27 AMG dealers to promote the new baby AMG, Automotive News tells us “the new C63, based on the C class “” goes on sale next month. It will cost $54,625, including shipping.”
“It represents a new entry into AMG with a price point we’ve never had,” says Steve Cannon, vice president of marketing.
That puts the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG right between the BMW M3 Sedan ($54,575) and the Lexus IS-F ($56,000). Very close to the M3 though.
