Simon Cowell adds a Bugatti and the Rolls-Royce Drophead Coupe to collection

Busy man Simon Cowell has his plate full, judging the remaining nine of the American Idol top 10. But when he’s not out dissing and breaking an aspiring singer’s hearts, Cowell keeps busy with his impressive collection of cars.

Cowell recently spent $2 million to add both a Bugatti Veyron and a Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe to his collection. The American Idol judge was photographed by the paparazzi this week in his Veyron while checking up on the workers building his 8,000 square-foot home.

“I could have 100 cars and I’d still want more. I love staring at them. I love driving them, too,” Cowell said last year. Among the Veyron and the Drophead Coupe, Cowell owns an Aston Martin DB9 convertible, a Mini Cooper, a Range Rover and a Jaguar XKR.

Look at all the fun you can have for being a TV personality. According to Wikipedia, Cowell’s net worth is $200 million and besides hosting a bunch of TV shows, the man owns television production and music publishing house Syco.

I am happy for Simon. If I had the money I would have the same auto desire he has.

It is people like Simon that I use to help my car crazy son to understand that it is ingenuity, intelligence and ambition that will help him attain his dreams.
