Hamilton promised McLaren F1 LM if he wins title for two years

Manager Ron Dennis has promised Lewis Hamilton a McLaren F1 LM supercar if he wins the championship for the next two years. Only five of the McLaren F1 LM supercars were built, one which sits in the McLaren headquarters in Woking, Surrey, the very orange one that Lewis will get if he holds off Kimi until 2010.

The McLaren F1 LM is the lightweight version of McLaren’s F1 and was the world’s fastest supercar for 11 years until beaten by the Koenigsegg CCR in 2005. The 0-60 sprint comes in just under 3 seconds while top speed is clocked at 230mph.

“The LM has always been my ultimate dream car since I first saw it when I was 13,” says Lewis. “When I first went to McLaren, I fell in love with it.”

“If Lewis can win the two titles, the car is his,” said Ron Dennis. “Fortunately our deal gives me a bit of time to save up!”
