Audi’s A6 hasn’t seen a major facelift or redesign since its complete makeover in 2005 by designer Walter de’Silva. The 2005 A6 even raked up the World Car of the Year award. Well now its time for some changes and based on these latest photo renderings, the 2010 Audi A6 is due for a total redesign.
As seen in the pictures, the rear-end will take major design influence from the latest Audi concepts we’ve seen at auto shows including the Audi Cross Coupe quattro, the Audi Cross Cabriolet quattro and the Audi metroproject quattro. The 2010 Audi A6 will also get slightly redesigned front fascia with a new bumper, new healamps, new rectangular fog lamps as well as bigger air-intakes.

Engine spec wise Audi is expected to carry over the 3.2 FSI producing 255-hp and the 4.2 FSI producing 350-hp. The Audi S6 is expected to see a bump in power to 450-hp from the current 435-hp. That will help Audi fill the gap in between the S6 and the upcoming Audi RS6 sedan. The RS6 sedan will be powered by the same Lamborghini-derived 5.0 L V10 TFSI producing 580-hp in the RS6 Avant.
We expect the 2010 Audi A6 to arrive late next year with a debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
