At $3 a gallon, its very easy to earn back the cost of a Prius, its only a $23,000. The Malibu (non Hybrid) costs that much when equally decked out. All this talk about Hybrids costing extra is true, but when you look at the bottom line price tag, its still fantastically cheaper than most other cars on the market. I already have.
