Aston CEO confirms V12 Vantage RS production and DBS roadster for 2009

Aston Martin CEO, Ulrich Bez, has confirmed in an interview with Autowise, that the fastest Aston Martin, the V12 Vantage RS in Mako Blue (it’s really an ugly baby-blue), will go into limited production and will go on sale in 2009.

This doesn’t come as a surprise to us since right before the Geneva Motor Show, Aston released a press release saying that they have officially named the color of the V12 Vantage RS ‘Mako Blue’ and are considering its production.

The 6.0 liter V12 engine produces 600 horsepower and gives the V12 Vantage RS the ability to do 0-60 in exactly 4.0 seconds with a top speed of 200 mph. 0-100 comes in at just 8.5 seconds.

Other than that, Bez also confirmed the Aston Martin DBS Roadster. The soft-top DBS convertible will arrive in dealerships mid-2009.
