Ferrari reports record sales and profits for 2007

Ferrari reported record sales and profits last year which the company says were driven by the success of the F430 and the 599 GTB Fiorano.

Revenues jumped 15.3 percent in 2007, to $2.4 billion while operating profit rose 45.4 percent to $388 million. Net profit increased by 40.4 percent to $436 million.

Ferrari said a total of 6,465 passenger cars were delivered to customers across the globe, averaging almost 25 per working week. That figure was up 14 percent from 5,671 in 2006.

In the Asia-Pacific region, sales were up 47.2 percent while the Middle East region jumped 32.3 percent. Ferrari said that it has taken orders of 500 Scuderia’s already in the U.S. where sales typically average about 1,500 to 1,800 units a year.
