As Ford is moving up to take on a fresh memed Toyota, Honda and Hyundai (with their "normal" cars offering luxury circa 2002), Mercury cannot be the Toyota fighter and Ford the cheap-car. No, its going to be Ford versus Toyota, Volkswagen, Honda, Hyundai, etc, and Lincoln against Infiniti, MB, BMW, Audi, etc. Kill it.
