Chicago Auto Show Preview: 2009 Mitsubishi Eclipse breaks cover

The guys over at Edmunds Inside Line have posted pictures of the 2009 Mitsubishi Eclipse coupe and spyder that will make their debuts at the 2008 Chicago Auto Show next week. There aren’t any major changes design wise besides a minor facelift on the front that gives the Eclipse a more aggressive appearance.
New this year is a dual exhaust system for the Eclipse GT variant that will bump output to 265hp and a torque of 262 lb-ft for the 3.8 liter V6. The V6 is mated to a standard six-speed manual gearbox or an optional Sportronic five-speed.
The Eclipse GT gets standard stability control, HID headlights and a large rear spoiler. All Eclipse models come standard with four-wheel disc brakes with ABS and electronic brakeforce.
We’ll bring you the official press release and high-res photos as soon as we get them.
