What's wrong with Cadillac's architecture? The XLR is built on a Chevy Corvette platform, but the new CTS and upcoming Mid-Size are on a really sweet platform so Alfa Romeo is doing something smart by saving on development costs by just buying the platforms from Caddy - shows what you know.

GAPING JAW MOMENT: Why in the blue hell, in the lowest, dampest, darkest pits of the most burning areas of hell, would Alfa Romeo want to taint its cars buy using ANYTHING used in a Cadillac-luster? OMG, have they not seen the XLR?

Whatever cars they build that are not on a Cadillac platform will be great, but I won't even suggest anyone look at the Cadillac variants.
