Lutz=mispell, his name shall be KLutz from now on. God, I hate this guy, every time GM is technologically challenged he just says its going to add cost, but everyone else (that is, every other car company) seems to have no complaints about added fuel economy. Thats just because over the years as technology improves, manufacturers have (historically) improved horsepower, but had the option to of instead focused on fuel economy.

I think that is whats going to happen now, foreign manufacturers will just try and keep their power outputs the same or similar and increase fuel economy instead.

That said, I must re-iterate I absolutely hate Bob Lutz. The man has no business building cars and given his Luddite approach to car building, I give GM 5 more years until they either fire him or go under. The man is a nothing short of a scare-mongering clown. "New technology? IT WILL COST YOU YOUR SOUL!" is his response to everything new.
