Mitsubishi Concept-RA

Mitsubishi today revealed the Concept-RA at the 2008 North American International Show in Detroit. The Concept-RA is a coupe concept that features Super All Wheel Control (S-AWC) vehicle dynamics control system driveline and the Twin Clutch SST automated manual transmission used in Lancer Evolution.

The car is powered by a 2.2-liter 4-cylinder DOHC 16-valve turbodiesel engine that produces 201 horsepower.

Concept-RA features an aluminum space frame made from extruded aluminum sections and die-cast aluminum members. No word on whether this is just a design study, or if Mitsubishi is really onto something.
