Starting with the 2009 Ford Flex and the 2009 Ford F-150, FoMoCo will offer Sirius Travel Link which provides drivers with information such as current gas prices, traffic updates and movie listings on the navigation screen. The system also gives the driver the ability to compare prices at any four nearby gas stations.
Ford will be displaying the technology at the International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas next week.
Ford is also expected to announce that the 2009 Flex and F-150 will be the first Ford cars to be equipped with audio systems from Sony. Ford is planning on making Sony the exclusive supplier of in-car audio for the Ford and Mercury brands.
