Report: Tata to be announced winning bidder for Jaguar, Land Rover

We’ve been waiting to report on the whole Jaguar and Land Rover sale until it became official. Well, according to Britain’s Birmingham Post newspaper, India’s Tata Motors will be named as the winning bidder for Jaguar and Land Rover tomorrow (Friday, December 21).
According to the report, Tata will cash out £1 billion ($2 billion), for the two Ford luxury brands.
Automotive News contacted Ford about the report. Ford spokesman Mark Truby said that Ford plans on making no announcement regarding the sale of Jaguar and Land Rover and is on track to announce the new owner of the two brands early next year.
